Restoration

• Legs and show-wood can be re-finished sympathetically to preserve their patina and character, polishing and cutting back with antique wax. Where appropriate, wood can be stripped right back, stained and re-polished to the color required.
• Loose frames can be carefully taken apart, the old glue cleaned off and the frames re-glued back together to return them to their original strength.
• Missing parts of show-wood can be re-carved or turned and stained or polished to blend with the existing wood.
• We also offer a full restoration service for other items of furniture such as chests, tables and cabinets.
• Restoration may include stripping the piece completely, consolidating the structure, re-veneering, re-carving missing areas, replacing missing brass work or fretwork and re-polishing.
